Did you know that kale is one of the best things you can put into your body, especially during the season of winter? Low in calories, kale is packed with vitamins & minerals such as calcium, manganese, potassium, & vitamins A, K, C, & B. Now, that's a kick ass vegetable if ever there was one! Try out these Crispy Kale Chips for yourself & see what the kale craze is all about.
Ingredients
parchment paper
1 large bunch of kale
1/4 cup olive or avocado oil
1 tbsp yeast
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp paprika
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp cracked black pepper
pinch cayenne pepper for heat
The Process
preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
wash your head of kale & then chop it up as small or large as you'd like - be sure to remove the large stems down the middle as they are difficult for the digestive tract to process
once your kale is prepared, add it to a large mixing bowl with 1/2 cup olive or avocado oil
once the kale is fully tossed in the oil, sprinkle on your seasonings & mix until kale is coated
before adding the kale, place a piece of parchment paper to cover your baking sheet
spread your tossed kale onto your parchment paper & bake for 10 minutes
at 10 minutes, rotate & bake for an additional 10-15 minutes
let cool & eat!
